Rotherham firm secures Schulke and Mayr deal - 19/03/08

DawMed has a secured a deal with German firm Schulke and Mayr to supply a chemical washing machine.

The contract to supply the AERclens product complies with the company's aim to pursue the European export market, according to DawMed's chairman - Kevin Gilmore, reports the Yorkshire Post.

A memorandum of understanding between the two countries will see DawMed provide the AERclens system, which is an infector of endoscopes.

DawMed provides a range of equipment that is designed to clean and disinfect surgical instruments. In addition to the AERclens system, its products include the OPTIclens system and Clinic - which is a purpose designed compact washer disinfector dryer.

The firm also describes itself as the "largest specialist medical washer disinfector dryer manufacturer in the UK".

It adds that its products "offer unparalleled quality" and comply with the international standard BS EN ISO 15883.
