Indian banking giant opens branch in Leeds

India’s largest private sector bank has opened a branch in the region.

ICICI, which has assets worth more than $115 billion (£57 million) and currently has a presence in 19 countries, has opened the new branch in Leeds, the largest centre for financial and professional services outside of London.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Deepak Varghese, head of retail banking of ICICI Bank UK Plc said: “I am delighted to report that ICICI is continuing to grow and more importantly our customers are reaping the benefits of our competitive products and services.”

The Leeds branch was opened by ICICI Bank UK Plc, a fully owned subsidiary of ICICI Bank. The group has over 50 years of financial experience and offers a range of financial services to corporate and retail customers.
